Family Movie Day

S

upport is by far one of Southeastern Diabetes Education Services greatest attributes. Just as Camp Seale Harris, one of SDES programs, provides support for many children through their residential camps, SDES offered a new program to provide support and education for children and families in the Birmingham area.

the children were able to kick back, relax and watch A Bee Movie, their parents were provided with educational sessions

On Saturday, December 8, SDES, along with Lifescan, Animas and Children’s Hospital, provided a family movie day. While the children were able to kick back, relax and watch A Bee Movie, their parents were provided with educational sessions that addressed nutritional information during the holidays. It was a great time for all to learn a little and receive some support.

When you live with, or know someone who lives with diabetes, support can be very important. Whether it’s through educational opportunities, fun days, camps or support groups, know that Southeastern Diabetes Education Services is here to support you!!
